Artistic Director | Mall Of Africa
Growing up in the salon environment has contributed greatly to where I am today. Thus far in my career I have had the opportunity to work on media events such as Miss SA, Fashion Week, as well as magazine shoots and TV styling work. My passion comes from the love and understanding of people and I can’t imagine doing something more playful and artistic than hair. There is a different connection and energy that takes place whilst working in close contact with people. A few years back a lady told me that her hair is her shield. In a metaphysical, when Adam and Eve were confronted with their sins and realised that they were naked, Eve still had her hair to cover herself from her sins and shame. I always keep in mind that I’m not only working with a person’s hair but a state of emotion behind it. I take pride in what I do and as one of the group’s Master stylist and trainers I strongly agree with the beliefs, values and vision of out brand.
